Spring is definitly coming

Wow--as I was preparing a document and while straring out the window I could not believe my eyes. From where I sit I can get a glimpse of our birdfeeder and it has been very quiet there this morning. But low and behold suddenly I saw a hummingbird -- it did not approach the feeder but came right up to the widow as if to say Where is my food? I don't think I've ever seen one come knocking this early.

The joy of grandparenthood

Yesterday was the day Aidan was expected to arrive. He followed in his oma's footsteps (arriving early) and was born on Janaury 15th, 2008 weighing in at 3 lbs 13 oz. Today he went to see the doctor and is doing aok. He now weighs 7lbs 4oz. Thank God!!

Do we really need another blog??

In writing these words it seems that I think we do. I actually don't think the world needs another blog at all. I selfishly want to find out how to go about doing this and so here is another blog the world doesn't need. I assume that no one will really see this. The odds of someone landing here is pretty slim. Next to the billions of characters already hurled into cyberspace my few words will attract little attention. So I will use this space to explore what can be done and how I can spice it up with photo's like the one I added here.
